The summer transfer window 2015 is now officially closed as its already past 18:00 BST, September 1st, wrapping off all major signings including De Bruyne, De Gea, Martial, Otamendi, Januzaj, Di Maria, Cech, Javier Hernandez, Ayew, Keylor Navas, Berahino and Sterling.

The major noise in the transfer window was the De Gea saga who officially still is a Manchester United player. The move to Real Madrid didn't happen as Real Madrid failed to send documentation to LFP on time. The transfer seemed guaranteed as Real Madrid and Man Utd agreed a deal worth €40m plus Keylor Navas for De Gea. News also came up that Navas has negotiated a deal with Man Utd that he would be guaranteed as the first choice keeper at United. All of this drama came to a sad ending for Real Madrid and De Gea with the lag in documents submission. David De Gea now remains a Manchester United player for atleast January 2016.

Man Utd managed to sign a striker on the deadline day from Monaco, the 19 year old Anthony Martial on a four year deal with an option to extend one more year. This deal costed United £36m. Martial dubbed as the next Thierry Henry adds pace, power and creativity up front for United. United have also signed an 17 year old defender from Newport on the deadline day.

Arsenal after having completed the signing of Petr Cech from Chelsea has been numb in the transfer window. They managed to sign Jeff Reine Adelaide from Lens the only other transfer other than Cech. Their hopes of landing a world class striker was set off as Cavani's move never seemed to happen.

The champions Chelsea were linked with Paul Pogba who is still a Juventus player. The blues had a very descent run in the transfer market signing Falcao, Begovic, Danilo Pantic, Baba Rahman, Pedro, Kenedy, Djilobodji and Michael Hector on the deadline day. The blues look for a steady comeback after a disappointing start to their 2015-16 campaign.

Liverpool also signed a lot many players in the transfer window this summer including the lights of James Milner, Danny Ings, Adam Bogdan, Joe Gomez, Roberto Firmino, Nathaniel Clyne, Christian Benteke and Awoniyi. Liverpool still need to find a replacement for Steven Gerrard in the midfield despite Henderson performing well and winning over the captains arm band from last season.

Other major transfers Aaron Lennon to Everton on a three year deal around £4m from Spurs, Norwich City signed Matt Jarvis on loan from West Ham United, Alex Song to West Ham again on loan from Barcelona, Derby County sign Bradley Johnson from Norwich City, Nathan Dyer to Leicester City on a season long from Swansea and Southampton signed Van Dijk.
Manchester United fail to take revenge over Swansea City as they lost 2-1 at the Liberty Stadium. Swansea managed to secure three wins over United in the last three matches including a double last season. Juan Mata opened his goal scoring tally for the 2015 premier league season as he netted past Fabianski just three minutes after the start of the second half. Swansea were quick to react as Ayew equalized, marking his third goal of the season. The Ghanian international was instrumental again as his cross found Gomis who managed to find the net past Romero as Swansea were up from behind in the 66th minute. Sergio Romero had a difficult time in the goal for United as he ad trouble clearing off balls and never looked like the same person who managed three clean sheets in his last three games for United.

Man United started off with Herrera in the number 10 role with Januzaj out injured, Herrera was instrumental in the Champions League tie against Club Brugge scoring on his first start of the season. The first half was were dull with fewer changes created by both the sides.

Second half substitutions, Carrick came over for Schneiderlin and Young for Mata as Herrera still remained in the number 10 role. As things were not going well Van Gaal brought on Fellaini for Herrera with just 15 minutes left on the clock. Fellaini missed the first three games of the season as he was suspended in the last game of the previous season against Hull City. Fellaini played on the top with Rooney playing just behind him but was not able to find the back of the goal, adding to the questions on the United front line. United need to do more business within the next 48 hours as the squad needs more depth in terms of pace and quality front men.

Ayew is turning out to be a wonderful addition to the Swansea side who managed to find the crucial goals against top sides like Manchester United and Chelsea. Ayew scored an important equalizer against Chelsea on the opening week of the premier league which held the Champions to a draw. Gomis also is turning out to be more productive with four goals already under his belt.

For United, they need to find consistency on the top going into the International break as they need to gear up ahead of their first big game of the season when they next host Liverpool on the 12th of September.
The champions were held to a draw on the first day of the new premier league season 2015-16 at home to Swansea City and were even denied a penalty in the first half. The blues took lead in the 23rd minute of the match with a free kick from Oscar as Swansea soon equalized with a goal from Ayew. Montero crossed in from the left which was headed on by Gomis, forced a save from Courtois who was unable to stop Ayew who pounced on to the rebound to mark his debut goal in the premier league. The champions were quick to react as they were ahead in the very next minute all thanks to a deflected shot by Willian off Fernandez.

The champions were happy to take the lead in the first half but had no clue of what they had in store for their second. A flighted ball to Gomis, as he escaped the Chelsea back line with only the keeper left ahead of him and the goal, which eventually forced a challenge from Courtois which resulted in a straight red card. As Courtois was the last man and denying Gomis a goal scoring opportunity, the referee was left with no choice other than showing him a straight red. Begovic was on for Oscar but couldn't stop Swansea equalizing. Gomis converted the penalty which prevented Begovic from being a superstar on debut for Chelsea.

Chelsea brought on their star signing Falcao later on, who was unable to find the net for the blues as it was tough for 10 men to counter attack the Swansea defense. Swansea also had a handful of chances with Gomis and Montero forcing saves from Begovic.

Overall Swansea had a good second half with impressive performances from Montero, Ayew, Gomis and Fabiansk. Chelsea on the other hand, stood strong even with 10 men, unlucky with a penalty denied in the first half, good performances from Hazard, Oscar, Willian and Diego Costa. As its still August, Mourinho would not mind a draw and would look to improve as they head for their crucial fixtures for the 2015-16 season.
